The excellent Danish punk band Lower are part of the same Copenhagen scene that produced Iceage and Vår (as well as Marching Church and Sexdrome, among others). Based only on the few higher-profile names I’m familiar with, it’s probably as good a scene as any in the world right now. If Iceage is the band that broke down the doors, Lower is poised to charge right through them: The two groups will tour North America together later this year, and sometime this fall, Lower will release their debut LP. “Another Life” is a new single from the band, and it’s a demon.
