Comforting Sounds is a song by the Danish band Mew. It was released as a single in 2003 to promote their album Frengers which was also released in 2003. The single was released across multiple formats in the United Kingdom. It’s one of the bands most beloved songs, and they use it as their last song in liveshows. The song has been covered by Birdy as a track on the expanded edition of her eponymous 2011 album Birdy. The song was used in the end credits of HBO’s Season 2, Episode 6 of Eastbound and Down.
