One of the more promising recent signings by the stellar label Sacred Bones is the Danish duo Vår. They make the dirtiest of electronics into pulsating collages that mix dancing with a trash pit. On “The Boy Or The Boot,” there’s still a clear club/techno influence, but the track is really defined by smeared, degraded synth hypnosis, sample juggling and a catchy slapdash aesthetic that has elements of Panda Bear.
